Dash Cam Hardwire Installation Kit Mini-USB

Compatible with the following Navitel Dash Cam models: R250, R5, R6, R9, R10 and MR450.

Installation Guidelines:

1. Before starting the installation first locate the vehicles dashboard fuse-box.
2. Once you have chosen the mounting location for the product/accessory you are installing, find the shortest cable route from the vehicles fuse-box to the product/accessory mounting location.
3. The next step is to locate the vehicle circuit/fuse that you are going to use to provide power to the product/accessory, the power should be taken from a non-critical vehicle circuit. Note: The vehicle circuit you choose should only have power when the vehicle ignition isswitched on, so that the product/accessory will automatically power down when thekey is removed, this will also prevent any discharging of the vehicle’s battery when it is left for long periods. 
4. Once the circuit/fuse you are going to use is located, remove the fuse from the vehicles fuse-box and then identify which of the quick connect fuse holders will be required from the four different types supplied in the kit.
5. Push the fuse that was removed from the vehicles fuse box into the quick connect fuse holder at the side of the existing 5A fuse, then push the quick connect fuse-holder into the vehicle fuse-box where the fuse was removed earlier. Note: The original fuse removed from the vehicle fuse-box will continue to function and protect the circuit that you have chosen, the 5A fuse that is in-line with the red wire will protect the circuit for the product/ accessory you are installing.
6. Connect the red wire with the female connector at the end of the power input cable into the Male connector on the red wire of the quick connect fuse holder.
7. Find a suitable grounding point, screw, nut or bolt in the vicinity of the vehicles fuse-box, then use this to secure and ground the ring terminal on the end of the black wire directly to ground via the vehicle chassis.
8. Find a suitable location along the route between to the vehicles fuse-box and the product/accessory mounting position to securely mount the power supply unit, carefully route the power input cable behind the dashboard to the power supply mounting location and then connect the 2-way connector on the end of the power input cable into the end of the power supply unit.
9. Connect the 6-way connector on the end of the mini-USB cable into the other end of the power supply unit and then secure the power supply firmly in place using screws or cable ties. Note: Ensure the power supply unit is mounted in a dry and well-ventilated area were the cables will not get damaged or disturbed.
10. Route the remaining micro-USB end of the cable behind the dashboard towards the product/accessory mounting position, then connect the micro-USB connector into the product/accessory.
11. Finally switch on the vehicle ignition and the green power status LED on the top of the power supply should illuminate to show that it is receiving power.
